Accessibility
1Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We are partially conformant: most of the product meets that standard, and the exceptions below do not yet.
2What works today
- The interface can be operated by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text and interface colors are chosen against contrast requirements, and the design system is the single source enforcing that.
- Form fields have associated labels, and errors are announced to assistive technology.
- Motion respects the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
- Charts carry text alternatives describing what they show, and the underlying data is available as a table.
3Known gaps
Being specific rather than vague, because these are the things that will actually stop someone:
- The chart editor's canvas is a visual, pointer-driven surface. Selecting and restyling individual chart elements by keyboard alone is limited.
- Animated race charts convey change over time visually. The data table alternative is available, but the animation itself has no non-visual equivalent.
- Some interface density and small monospace labels fall below comfortable reading sizes at default zoom.
- We have not yet completed a full audit with assistive technology users. Our conformance claim is based on internal testing.
We are working on these. If one of them is blocking you, tell us — it moves up.
4Telling us about a problem
Email support@chartforce.ai with what you were trying to do, what got in the way, and the assistive technology and browser you were using. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
If you need a chart or an export in an alternative format, ask and we will produce it for you at no charge.
